Upper chamber
Small, hard, dry seeds harvested for human or animal consumption. The two main commercial types are cereals, such as wheat and rye, and legumes, such as beans and soybeans.
Middle chamber
Seeds grown for the oil they contain, and a crucial source of edible oil and protein for food and animal feed. Major crops include soybeans, cottonseed, sunflower seed, canola, rapeseed and peanuts.
Lower chamber
A triglyceride extracted from a plant. In the narrow sense, plant oils that stay liquid at room temperature.
